Amendment No 1 of 2020

[20th, November 2020]

An Act to amend the Constitution of India.

BE it enacted by the Parliament as follows:—

1. Short Title.— (1) This shall be called The Constitution (First Amendment) Act, 2020.

2. Amendment to Article 3.— Section 9 as follows shall be added:-

"Any citizen of India holding dual citizenship, with primary citizenship in other region, shall not be allowed to hold the power of WA Delegate or President, Defining, dual citizenship, as the official pact signed by India and other region(s) which legally accepts the citizens of other region as their own citizen, defining, primary citizenship in other region, as the first region in which any nation registered itself as a legal citizen in NationStates and continues to hold citizenship in that region. Further, dual citizens that hold primary citizenship in other region(s) shall have to leave citizenship in the other region, 1 month before the announcement of WAD elections, to be counted as fit and healthy to contest the WA Delegate elections."
